![]() Independent writing is not particularly profitable, and it takes a great deal of time. If you want to help guarantee the future of this series, and ensure that books keep coming according to the great big game plan, there are some ridiculously powerful things you can do:
As you probably know this whole series is produced independently, without any backing from a publisher, agent, or marketing firm. It relies mostly on your word of mouth to generate interest amongst potential new readers! You are the best chance it has of continuing and growing. The current Armada Wars protagonist Elm Caden has been featured in the "Character Focus" series on Brittany M. Willows' writing blog. You can read the full article here.
Entries in Brittany's series each feature a single character from a specific author, and they appear every Monday. ![]() Armada Wars is now signed up to the PayPal Here programme, which also means it is now a PayPal Check-In location. What does this mean for you the customer/fan? RCV will start to promote the Armadaverse in the real world in 2017, so you'll be able to get paperback books, posters, or other paraphernalia signed right in front of you. This site and the official Facebook page will pre-announce all appearances. Thanks to the little guy shown in the image, payments can now be made in person by swiping a card, chip and pin, contactless, Apple Pay, cash/cheque, and of course PayPal transfer. If you're a fellow indie author, or a small/home business owner, I recommend taking a look at PayPal Here. The card reader works in conjunction with the PayPal Here app, which lets businesses put together a product catalogue. It allows product options, tipping, tax calculation, Check In, and email or print receipts, plus it can integrate with the Constant Contact service so that customers can be added to your CC mailing list (if they so desire). ![]() If you're enjoying Armada Wars, you may also like The Calypsis Project by Canadian author Brittany M. Willows. The Calypsis Project is the first volume in a duology (with the second part, TCP: Rebirth, due soon), and will also get an additional prequel volume, TCP: Pulse. http://thecalypsisproject.com |
