Let's Set the Scene...

The Time

The current time in the Armadaverse is the year 3745.

While a lot has changed by this time in terms of the human experience, enough is the same that you will recognise the people and their stories.

The Place

The many worlds of mankind span the Milky Way, mostly on the Orion arm of the galaxy.

Humanity also has interests on the other spiral arms, and in the Deep Shadows which fall between them.

The People

The major players in the Armada Wars universe are human, and they have some alien allies. Enemies come in all guises, and they are not always easy to spot.

Alien Life

The galaxy swarms with simple life, and several advanced races are known to stride across it.

Politics

Not everyone is happy living in a meritocratic Imperial state.

There are factions of humanity who oppose the philosophies of the Imperial Combine, and their influence is ever-present. But will you see it when it's there?

The Unknown

The reach of the Empire might be long, but its gaze is not long enough. Even the charted portions of the galaxy contain threats unknown.

Out there, in the great dark, many things watch carefully for signs of movement.

The Shaeld War

Also known as The Great War of the Shaeld, this is the conflict which dominates the current series of books.

Much of the story deals with the progression of the war: the plot however deals with the characters caught up in it.

The Perseus Conflict

A war which occurred a generation ago against the Viskr, the Perseus conflict heavily influenced the Imperial response to the first signs of the Shaeld War.

Perseus will be the setting for a future trilogy of novels.
