OverviewMibes is one of the most highly-developed Imperial Combine worlds on the Perseus arm of the galaxy. It is remarkably Earth-like, but not quite enough to merit being placed in the class zero category.
Seen from space, Mibes is a mainly blue-green ball wreathed in white cloud, with visible continents which are coloured green, brown and grey. The small polar ice caps are white. Mibes is a terrestrial or "rocky" planet, and the only such planet orbiting its star. A strong magnetic field deflects a significant amount of harmful stellar radiation. Around 73% of the surface of the planet is covered by water, an organic solvent. Both of these attributes contributed significantly to the emergence of life on the planet. The biosphere of Mibes is rich and diverse, representing almost all of the known kingdoms of life. Due to the presence of large, predatory fauna on every continent, Mibes is considered a Wild planet. This is one of the most influential factors contributing to the loss of its class zero status. The dominant sentient species is humanity, with around 80,000,000 individuals living and working on the surface. The Komistir system is served by a single gate and supports a nexus. Mibes itself has a modest number of orbital batteries defending it. |
Cities
Naddur
Named for a Perseus conflict-era general, the capital city of Mibes is the largest conurbation by far. It is a sprawling metropolis, with a variety of districts arranged in a grid formation. The city contains many tall buildings, some of which have tinted glass windows. The civic and financial districts border each other, and a large public space exists between them where the commerce hall is located. This same square is used for open markets.
Naddur is well decorated, with the classic "white stone with black mortar" style favoured by many Imperial town planners. It also has many parks, with short, bulbous, native trees. A taller cultivar of these trees is used to decorate many of the streets and avenues.

Recorded Events
In March 3745 ELC a Viskr strike fleet blockaded Mibes and placed troops on the ground. With total orbital cover, they secured the surrender of the Imperial forces garrisoned there and occupied the planet's cities (→LOTD).
Various Imperial Navy assets were sent to the system to confront the Viskr fleet, and to deliver CAGA and Tanker assets to the planet's surface. Elm Caden was aboard the ICS Disputer at the time, and had his own mission to complete in the capital city of Naddur. During the orbital battle the only Viskr capital ship present — the Nakrikhul Srabir — attempted to ram itself into the surface of Mibes. The planet was won back from the Viskr forces after only a few hours of fighting (→LOTD).
Bruiser met Burner while on the surface of Mibes, for the first time since their encounter on Uccomir. Additionally, it was the first time Caden had met anyone from Downfall Company, and the first time Zolyn Feior met Euryce Eilentes (→LOTD).
Although it was not recognised at the time, Captain Helia Thande later realised that the navigational problems plaguing her ship had started during the Mibes mission (→TRD).
When asked by Elm Caden, Toord Sylk Caecald stated that the attack on Mibes was revenge for Operation Seawall. The occupation was arranged by a renegade commander, and was not officially sanctioned by the Junta (→TRD).
