Encountered a term in an Armada Wars book and not sure what it means? Fear not. The brand new Glossary was added to the Universe section today.
The glossary is not yet exhaustive, but it does come quite close. It will of course continue to grow as new volumes are released in the Armadaverse, because every new book means new strange things with strange names.
In the same way that Limewire and other services used to be full of fake files, back in the days when broadband and peer-to-peer sharing first appeared, the modern web is full of honeypots which are intended to excite you, seduce you, and then exploit you.
This happens because pirates are not fun. Viewed from any angle, they are c**ts.
Here is the cultural idea of a fun pirate.
He does look fun, doesn't he? He sails the high seas looking for adventure, for no particular reason, and his income is derived from the chance discovery of gold doubloons which were left laying about the place in wooden chests, presumably by his forebears.
At some point he probably helped some unstuck-in-time children to find their lost dog Max.
He's a terrific guy. Shame he's an utter fiction.

For your entertainment and information, here is the first 20 minutes of production audio from the audiobook conversion of Steal from the Devil. Personally I think James' performance is outstanding; by all means leave a comment with your views.
We're aware there are minor errors in the narration and these have been identified for correction as part of the normal process. The audio quality has been dropped slightly to enable use of the embedded player.
A while ago there was a poll regarding the redesign of the front covers, and it was very helpful to hear your views.
This poll is along the same lines, only it's for posters. The posters are currently available as artwork only, or with title text (i.e. just like the front covers). I'm considering either changing the design with text, or adding a new poster into the line-up.
So take a look at the three styles below (Style C is of course the proposed one), then please do spend fifteen seconds giving feedback. It really does help!
A new category was sneaked into the Universe section this week, and it adds eighteen Technology articles! This section will be under continuous development, with more entries being made as more technology is revealed in upcoming releases.
Also this week... the book pages were all given a makeover to remove clutter, improve appearance for mobile devices, add images for external destinations like Amazon and Audible, and introduce a touch of per-book colour theming.
Lastly, some more audio files have been added. One for xtryllium, and one for each of the minor characters who were still awaiting theirs.
The posters for From Shattered Stars have arrived at last, and at A1 size (84.1 x 59.4 cm) in high quality print they look amazing! Like all the other posters, they are printed on heavy duty 250gsm silk paper, using a professional CMYK process which duplicates the colours reliably and beautifully.
There's a new value pack in addition to the old 3-pack, this one is of course a 4-pack containing all the posters for the main sequence novels. The price point of the 3-pack has changed to make it 15% off, and the new 4-pack gives you a chunky 20% off.
Celebrate the unbeatable artwork of Adam Burn with this A1-sized poster of the front cover for From Shattered Stars, which immortalises the amphibious landing scene from the Battle of Palanda Ire!

If you visited the Armada Wars stall at Sci-Feb, you may have picked up a business card. You'll find a coupon code on the back of it... but it's not just any old coupon code, oh no.
This is a persistent, mutating coupon! Throughout the year, as new items come onto our store, the advantage it gives you will change periodically. So for example upon the release of From Shattered Stars, you will get a preferential rate on the paperback.
All we ask is that you keep it to yourselves. Convention visitors are special!
The first offer is a whopping 30% off all posters, which includes value packs!
There's loads of information on this site about the series, broken down into very logical sections, and the best place for a newcomer to start is with the about page.
To make stock-keeping simpler and the accounts easier to work out, book signing is now a flat rate of £4 per copy.
Books in the store which previously offered 'signed' or 'unsigned' as an option no longer do, they're just the plain paperbacks. Signing is now an 'item' in its own right.
To get books signed you just add one signing item per book. If you're buying several books but don't want them all signed, you can put instructions in the 'notes to seller' field at the checkout (have faith: this box appears when you return from PayPal). Just say which books are to be signed and which are not.
The signing item now comes up as the first 'related product' on every book page, so it's easy to see.
