OverviewPrayer Monsul is a civilian ship's engineer, and part of the crew of a privately-owned cargo hauler named Leo Fortune.
Notable EventsPrayer is routinely foul-mouthed and can be argumentative, but is also a competent, reliable, and faithful employee. She is less concerned with ethics than is her captain, Kabis Borreto, but she does have a way of cutting through awkward or tense situations, which makes her helpful to have around during confrontations (→LOTD).
The Leo Fortune carries a PRAISE robot for use in reconnaissance and humanitarian operations. Prayer Monsul is the operator, a role she maintains she was given solely because of her name (→LOTD). At some point in 3745 ELC the crew of the Leo Fortune encountered the fugitive Maber Castigon. A deal was struck between them to take Castigon to a number of Imperial Combine worlds for short stops. Prayer Monsul was the engineer of the Leo at that point in time (→LOTD). While carrying Castigon the Leo visited Lophrit, Serrofus Major, and Altakanti Station, an Imperial Combine listening post. During that last trip Monsul was obligated to don an EVA suit, evacuate the air from the cargo hold, and catch Castigon when he was ejected from the station. Shortly after that she treated him for exposure to space, using the Leo Fortune's modest medical facilities (→LOTD). While Castigon was aboard Altakanti Station, Kabis Borreto discussed his concerns about the man with Monsul and pilot Sayad Idiri. Prayer expressed doubt that they would even be paid by Castigon, and revealed that she didn't know why Borreto had agreed to carry him in the first place (→LOTD). Sayad Idiri discovered the strange, increasing margin of error in the Leo Fortune's wormhole accuracy, the same issue which was starting to plague Imperial Navy vessels. Prayer checked over the diagnostic reports Idiri generated from the navigation systems, and concurred that there was no error they could detect with the equipment they had aboard the Leo (→TRD). |
