OverviewSayad Idiri is a civilian pilot, part of the crew of a privately-owned cargo hauler named Leo Fortune.
Notable EventsAt some point in 3745 ELC the captain of the Leo Fortune encountered the fugitive Maber Castigon. A deal was struck between them to take Castigon to a number of Imperial Combine worlds for short stops. Sayad Idiri was the pilot of the Leo for the duration of this series of trips (→LOTD).
Idiri took the ship to Lophrit, Serrofus Major, and Altakanti Station, an Imperial Combine listening post. The hazards involved in navigating the asteroid field around Altakanti put so much stress on him that he started giggling openly at the prospect of their impending, fiery deaths (→LOTD). While Castigon was aboard Altakanti Station, Captain Kabis Borreto discussed his concerns with Idiri and engineer Prayer Monsul. Sayad reminded those present that if they left Castigon behind they would never again be entrusted with a paying fare sourced from the Backwater (→LOTD). At Meccrace Prime, while waiting for Castigon to return from the planet's surface, Idiri was able to maintain orbit while escaping the attention of a fleet of invading Shaeld Hrathan dreadships. He was so proficient at this that the Leo was able to remain in-system, obtaining footage of the invasion. That same footage would later be sent to the public media network (→TRD). Sayad Idiri discovered the strange, increasing margin of error in the Leo Fortune's wormhole accuracy, the same issue which was starting to plague Imperial Navy vessels. He could not find fault in the ship's GNGs or its navigational processors, and determined that the only viable solution was to head for an Imperial Combine facility capable of performing a deep diagnostic (→TRD). |
