OverviewPrior to the infiltration of Gemen Station, Doctor Danil Bel-Ures was a project leader assigned to the Herros facility.
Bel-Ures is a weapons development specialist for the Imperial Navy, and she played a key role in the design and manufacture of the Atmospheric Dispersal Warhead system. Notable EventsDoctor Bel-Ures left Herros to visit family on her homeworld Duraang, in the Meccrace system, just days before Gemen Station went dark. It is now suspected that Rasa agents were already present in the facility before she left (→SFTD).
Knowing that Bel-Ures might shed light on the Rasa situation for Elm Caden and the Eyes and Ears intelligence bureau, Gordl Branathes travelled from Fort Laeara to Meccrace Prime. He was aware that Bel-Ures had been taken there for safety by Eyes and Ears field agents, and wished to ensure that she would not divulge the secrets of Gemen Station. Branathes was followed by Caden, who extracted Doctor Bel-Ures while the Battle of Meccrace Prime raged in orbit above them (→LOTD). On meeting Caden, Bel-Ures confessed to a lack of comfort around Imperial Shards, and also suggested that Caden's grasp on current events was inaccurate. She also let slip the name Site Bravo; she claimed that this was a facility on the far side of Imperial space which housed a second component to the warhead system developed at Gemen Station (→LOTD). Much later in the war against the Shaeld Hratha, Bel-Ures joined the researchers and scientists already aboard the IRV Vavilov. She debriefed Elm Caden on the various differences between types of Rasas, and they discussed the possibility that the Shaeld Hratha might be naturally telepathic. She also proposed that the Imperial Combine might soon have the means to immunise citizens against the Rasa virus, given the samples Caden had retrieved for them (→FSS). Bel-Ures later facilitated a meeting between Caden and Irim Su, a scientist representing the Lem Bataan Confederation. She also spearheaded a number of experimental medical procedures intended to release Rendir Throam from the grip of Voice (→FSS). |
