OverviewRupus Dyne is an experienced but complacent CAGA soldier, and an inveterate womaniser.
Dyne was counterpart to Kulik Molcomb up until the Shard's death at the hands of Maber Castigon. The two of them had an affable working relationship which was slightly marred by Molcomb's unspoken lack of respect for counterparts. Both of them knew that Molcomb would be happier on his own, but neither of them ever brought it up as an issue. Dyne's weapon of choice is a pair of heavily customised Moachim P15 Autolock Pistols. He has large scars on his chest and abdomen, the origins of which he normally declines to discuss. Notable EventsDyne was sleeping with a woman called Akasi in a brothel on Low Cerin when Molcomb was attacked by Maber Castigon. Dyne was summoned by Molcomb as he tried to escape Castigon, and arrived just as Molcomb was shot and killed (→SFTD).
About a week after that incident Dyne was cleared of negligence with respect to Molcomb's assassination, when he was able to show communication logs which recorded the many occasions on which Molcomb had elected to carry out his business without Dyne present. Dyne was then assigned temporarily to Elm Caden, who was not at all impressed by that arrangement. Caden rightly ascribed the move to the mischievous meddling of Empress Ecoria (→TRD). While he was still acting as counterpart to Caden, Dyne took part in the ground element of Operation Keystone on Guathelia, where he thoroughly failed to impress his Shard. Although Dyne was effective in combating a group of Thralls located en route to the team's objective, he was next to useless when the group was fighting off more Thralls around the periphery of a cluster of grounding splinters. When Caden's life was threatened — an event which should prompt furious levels of violence from any counterpart worth a damn — Dyne was nowhere to be seen. Shortly after that incident Caden dumped off Dyne in favour of Bruiser (→TRD). |
