Overview

Medran Morlum was a member of an expedition that entered the Deep Shadows in 3743 ELC, in order to prospect on the geologically intriguing planet CC-60125-E.

At some point prior to March 3745 the expedition base was attacked, and all personnel were either killed or abducted.

Notable Events

While trying to find leads during the investigation of the attack on Gemen Station, intelligence operator Occre Brant discovered that Morlum's identity had been recorded on the fringe planet Aldava. After receiving this intelligence Elm Caden travelled to Aldava himself, and there learned of Morlum's likely whereabouts from information broker Joarn Kages (→SFTD).

​Caden located Morlum on the quarantined planet Woe Tantalum, hiding amidst the ruins of a devastated human colony. Morlum was accompanied by a utility android called Prem, which he stated had been re-tasked to chaperone him. Morlum guardedly provided Caden with limited information about Rasas, before he overstepped the mark and was killed by Prem (→SFTD).

Morlum's final words were "Shaeld Hratha". The meaning of the phrase was not understood at the time, but it soon became known as the name of a previously unrecorded alien species (→LOTD).
