Overview

Lau is the younger brother of Elm Caden. He resides on Damastion, where he has inherited the task of caring for their mother, Chia.

Chia and Lau currently live in basic accommodation, and their domestic needs are met through a stipend which is paid in recognition of Modim Caden's service in the Imperial Navy. Lau never knew his father, as he was born after Modim's untimely death on the Perseus front.

Notable Events

Lau has occasional contact with Elm, whose duties take him to many different star systems, and he regularly asks his brother to visit home (→SFTD, LOTD).

Due to the encroaching threat from Shaeld Hrathan invasion fleets, Elm instructed Lau to take their mother and flee the city of Galloi. He has since been unable to make contact with his brother (→TRD).

Elm ​Caden has still not been able to get in touch with Lau since returning from the Perseus arm, and quite rightly held out little hope of locating him during the Siege of Damastion (→FSS).
