Imbris Laselle is a career officer in the Imperial Navy, serving as XO in the ICS Love Tap, the flagship of the Fourth Fleet. She is first officer to Admiral Groath Betombe.
Laselle is a cautious but conscientious commander, and frequently reigns in the admiral when he outlines his more cavalier or risky tactics. There are some aboard Love Tap who see her as being the only thing standing between Fleet Command and the next embarrassing incident.
Admiral Betombe considers Laselle to have what he terms a "talented face", meaning that she can convey completely different emotions simultaneously, without even being aware she is doing so.

List of the Dead
Commander Laselle was responsible for taking the conn and withdrawing from the Battle of Gousk, after Admiral Betombe was rendered unconscious during the fight which took place there. She jumped the Love Tap to the periphery of the Hujjur system, where Betombe again took command.
While in the Hujjur system Betombe decided to assist Imperial Combine forces engaged in combat at Blacktree. Laselle cautioned the admiral against jumping in without assistance from a gate, and calculated the best possible navigational solution for the task force to use in its approach.
On arriving in orbit of Blacktree and joining the battle there, Love Tap found itself engaging what is now known to be a Shaeld Hrathan dreadship. Laselle urged discretion as the better part of valour when dealing with the unknown intruder.
Laselle was present with Betombe during what should have been a debrief of Operation Seawall, but which in fact turned out to be a preliminary hearing to formalise the start of disciplinary proceedings against the admiral.
During that meeting, Senior Fleet Admiral Tabius Bel-Messari had Laselle read out her own verbal entries from the Love Tap logs in order to indict Admiral Betombe, which she found distinctly uncomfortable.

Laselle was aboard Love Tap when it joined the Imperial forces massing to defend the Herses system from an anticipated Shaeld attack.
Like the rest of the crew, to avoid Rasas discovering Commander Operations' plans, she was unclear on exactly what the ship would be doing right up until the invasion of the system started.
Once the battle was underway, however, she showed herself to be a keen observer and an adroit tactician. When the battle moved into the atmosphere of Ramm Stallahad, with Betombe seeking to engage large numbers of enemy ships in the cloud layers, she again urged caution.
