Ephisia Pardé is the estranged partner of Rendir Throam. They have a child together, Gendin, whom Rendir never sees.
Throam's nickname for Pardé is "Thunderc**t". Notable Events:Little is recorded officially about Ephisia's history prior to her relationship with Rendir Throam.
What is known is that in 3735 ELC Ephisia must have become pregnant to Throam, since their son Gendin was born in May of 3736 ELC. Just over ten Solar months later Ephisia disappeared while Throam was on a three-day CAGA training exercise. She took Gendin with her, and left only a half-page note behind. Throam's enquiries revealed she had moved to an obscure world on the core-ward fringe of the Orion arm (→SFTD). Years later, Ephisia and her son were the cause of an argument between Throam and Euryce Eilentes. During the subsequent discussion Throam stated that, at first, Ephisia had been "a dream come true ... beautiful and warm". It had not been long, however, until she started asking him to give up important elements of his life, which would have compromised his career goals. Throam recognised the strain this was putting on their relationship, but stated to Eilentes that Ephisia wanted to go ahead and start a family anyway. He claimed she "got inside his head" and made him think that was also what he wanted (→LOTD). Ephisia has not had contact with Rendir Throam for almost a decade. Throam has not pursued her for custody of the child, since he knows that his career and lifestyle would make the boy's life very difficult (→LOTD). |
