OverviewCollis (given name not recorded) was present on Serrofus Major in 3745 ELC, where he was helping to bring about Proconsul Kalistine's vision for the development of the capital city.
As the owner of a company which specialised in the design and construction of irrigation systems for worlds in their mid-to-late colonisation phase, Collis was the beneficiary of a very lucrative contract. He was not appreciative of the disruptions to his efforts which came from the planet's native inhabitants. While his views were not as xenophobic as those of the proconsul, he was rudely dismissive of the native peoples' rituals and beliefs. It is not recorded whether Collis was a resident of Serrofus Major or a visitor, but given his occupation the latter seems far more likely. Notable EventsCollis approached Maber Castigon in 3745 ELC, when the fugitive visited Serrofus Major and attended at a city centre tavern run by inn-keeper Arnaum. Collis recognised Castigon to be an outsider immediately and, perhaps bored with daily Serrofan life, approached him to strike up a conversation (→LOTD).
Arnaum was visibly offended when Collis called his tavern a "shit-hole", but backed down straight away when Collis merely shot him a look. It might be inferred from that interaction that Arnaum has had a previous conflict with Mister Collis which did not work out so well for the inn-keeper (→LOTD). The conversation between Castigon and Collis turned quickly to the native Mastalekt population and the disruptions and delays they were causing for Collis' construction teams. When this branch of the conversation began, another man joined in — this was Herik Pammon. Although Pammon's non-verbal signals and manner of speech caused Castigon to recognise a fellow killer, Collis seemed oblivious to it all. Pammon proposed that he, Collis, and Castigon work together, since it sounded like they had mutual aims, and Collis agreed swiftly (→LOTD). From Castigon's thoughts and actions later on it can be inferred that Collis was true to his word, and that he eagerly assisted in stoking racial tensions between the Mastalekt and human populations in and around the capital. This led to the sacking of the capital and the breaching of the House of Governance (→LOTD). Some days later Collis was surveying terrain around the capital from an elevated rocky outcropping, accompanied by a fire team of CAGA soldiers for security purposes. From where he was he could clearly see the results of his handiwork, with severe fire damage still visible in some areas of the city. He could also see CAGA landers and the newly encamped garrison of several battalions of troops those craft had brought to the planet. By this point he was somewhat unnerved by the results of his own actions (→TRD). While on this survey trip Collis spotted an unknown object in the sky, which appeared to be a projectile leaving a vapour trail behind it. It was either small, distant, or both, and he was unable to identify it. The CAGA corporal with him suggested he contact orbital traffic control to see if they could supply an identification, but Collis did not consider it worth the effort (→TRD). Unbeknownst to him, Collis had spotted one of the Atmospheric Dispersal Warheads (ADWs) stolen from Gemen Station, which had been deployed against Serrofus Major by Voice. It is confirmed by intelligence sources that the missile delivered the Rasa virus to the planet, but it is not known at this time whether Collis was one of its victims (→TRD). |
