Overview
While skulkers roll across the battle grounds visited by the Viskr Junta, it is blitzers that stalk prey from the air.
Like the skulker, the blitzer is little more than an autonomous killing machine. It too uses an Identify Friend or Foe (IFF) routine to pick out enemy combatants, and will fire on them from above. It is capable of discriminating between organic and mechanical targets.
A blitzer is a trigonal, wedge-shaped drone containing lift and thrust turbines, with a lightweight, small-calibre gun on each of its three points. It sacrifices a great deal of penetration in order to carry more ammunition, and therefore ignores mechanical targets and vehicles such as Gorillas or Kodiaks. This is something of a vulnerability, because as Euryce Eilentes demonstrated during the Second Liberation of Mibes, a human target riding atop a Gorilla will be ignored (→LOTD).
Blitzers are capable of travelling very quickly, and can perform aerial manoeuvres such as loops and barrel rolls in order to avoid enemy fire. They are capable of stopping completely or accelerating to their maximum speed in a very short period of time, and can also hover in one spot (→LOTD).
