OverviewKantral Wiśniewski, known to most as 'Kan', was a human female who first visited the colony world Naiaeg in 3676 ELC. There she met The Bruised Heart of Faith in Others, later known as Bruiser, with whom she was to develop a long-lasting friendship.
Notable EventsKan was a civilian contracted to the Imperial Combine's Engineering Corps, and came to Naiaeg as part of a project intended to improve the transport infrastructure between the planet's more remote settlements. After the construction of an aeroshuttle mini-port on the outskirts of Bruiser's home town, Kan was obliged to leave the planet. She had however become very fond of Bruiser during her stay, and returned to visit him on several occasions (→FSS).
Kan was a mischievous and irreverent character, and was often in trouble with her management. On one occasion she was forbidden to leave the Engineering Corps' compound for an entire Solar month, having been found drunk and naked in the streets of the local Rodori town (→FSS). Bruiser was educated by Kan on the various planets of the Imperial Combine, and together they came up with a game called "Fake Planet, Real Planet". The rules of this game were simple: Kan would relay the details of a strange planet, and Bruiser would attempt to guess if it was a real place, or one she had made up (→FSS). After the disaster which befell the colony Parable Light, Kan decided to move away from civil engineering. She instead went to work for the Resourcing Bureau — again under contract — where she remained until she retired (→FSS). Following her retirement Kan moved to a newly settled colony world named Whiste. It was on Whiste that she died under circumstances which, while tragic, could also be described as "bizarre and so typically Kan". Somewhat predictably her funeral service turned into absolute chaos (→FSS). |
